The music and dogs seemed to have the most effect on my working memory and processing speed. Loud music was playing in the room next door, and the psychologist's dogs were randomly barking throughout the test. This makes me call into question their ability to score other subtests properly as well. I was docked points on the coding subtest for touching the lines with symbols even though that isn't something that is mentioned in the WAIS manual. I've talked about it in the past, but I'll briefly go over why I feel it was poorly administered. It turns out I misremembered some of the numbers, but my feelings about the test remain the same. Well, I finally got them half a year later so I figured I'd make a final follow up post with the results. The guy who complained about his WAIS-IV test in the past but didn't have the results yet.
